The first unicorn to take part in “Unicorns of the World” is Victoria – a lovely girl who can inspire you to be the best version of yourself even in her silence.

We met during a class with photoschool.bg when our trainer pulled a “Haaaaave you met Ted?” kind of thing on us. It is probably this little push that got us talking later on and even though we haven’t done much “talking”, we kind of just clicked and got along. And since then I have silently been inspired by her persistence in her work and the way she touches the souls of people.

But enough from me, please read her answers below to find out what I actually mean. (:

Girl blowing dandelions

Name/Nickname – Victoria / Viki / Vik / Viks

Location – Varna, Bulgaria

Occupation – Freelance photographer & photo editor. And I have studied painting so this will always be a passion for me! I used to create lots of handmade jewelry but have neglected them for a while… and the stuff is underneath my bed now but I still love it.

Favourite Color – All the pastel and natural tones – I love them! I like white and Indian Yellow!

Pet of choice – If I could have any pet I wanted, I would choose a horse, preferably white! Maybe a hippo, polar bear or a baby seal too!

 So, what’s your story?

I am 22 years old, almost 23. I have a twin sister, I love traveling and I try to move around as much as I can each year.

I love painting. My mother signed us up for drawing lessons when we were quite little. I didn’t always go with pleasure, because it meant getting up early each Saturday (laughs) but after time I got over it and painting became a passion. I went to an international summer camp for painters fours years in a row. All we did was paint and now that I think about it those are my most cherished summer memories! Later on came photography and we’ll see how it will go. Life is unpredictable 🙂

What is your Superpower?

I can see the sun with my eyes closed 😀

From all the places you’ve been to, which one is your favorite and why?

Hmm.. A “favorite” place for me does not only consist of the physical aspect of it but mostly of the feelings it brought into me and the way it touched me in a way I cannot always describe.

One such place was Chefalù – an old harbor city in South Sicily. I had the opportunity to go there thanks to a project my school enrolled in and the idea was for us to paint while there. We did not spend much time in the town but I remember I was quite impressed by it. It was like time had stopped there. It was bustling with live but at the same time – quite calm – a very very special place. I am unsure if I will feel the same way if I go again but the way things feel when you are 17-18 is quite different.

Otherwise I have a lot of favorite spots in my own city, mostly ones close to the sea :))

What do you want to be when you grow up?

I want to bee… the best version of me 🙂

How many people do you fall in love with every day?

Depends on the day 🙂

Why do you think you were chosen for this ?

Why.. ? I ask myself the same question! But I was told that the idea is to include “cool people you meet” so therefore you think I am cool 😀 Maybe this is why + because you are very kind 🙂

(Aww..)

What/Who inspires you?

I had to answer the same question recently! 🙂

There are plenty of things that inspire me – various movements of the body; the way the sunset reflects on the walls in my room; the shadows of the trees; different combinations of colors; blooming trees and flowers; reflections; water..

I am attracted to light and I love to play with it. I get inspired by people who love what  they do and do it with such passion that they light up those around them. Good people and small acts of kindness inspire me.

How do you feel about unicorns?

I think they represent all that is cute and kind. A pink dream 🙂

What do you think they dream of?

They dream of colorful rainbow, pink clouds and smiles!

Black and white photo of a girlThank you, Viki, for accepting to be our first unicorn and for sharing your smile on the other side of the camera (:
We hope that you will be an inspiration to many more undercover unicorns like yourself! Once you go back to Chefalù do drop a line to say if everything has stayed the same as when you first visited. We would love to keep track of the way feelings change over the years (:
